Ryleigh's ABC Book

I started an 8X8 scrapbook ABC book for my granddaughter, Ryleigh. I am up to the letter U. I have incorporated pictures of people and animals she knows and pictures using Cricut designs. I will probably give her it as a gift for Christmas. Above are the letter "s" and "u" pages. I am disappointed you can't see the raindrops made from Liquid Accents on the umbrella page. You also can only slightly see the Stickles on the seaweed in the underwater page. Schroeder is our new puppy and deserved his own page. I'll post more pages as I finish them.

Sorry for the long break in posts

Hi everyone, sorry for the long delay between posts. It has been a long and busy year. I lost my father, my brother-in-law, and my trusty beagle, Rusty. It has been a trying year. But I'm back and I hope to post at least weekly, if not more. My plans are to actively papercraft and post my projects for comments. So here goes....
Because I am a teacher, I miss my friends from work over the summer. So I create a little something to welcome them back to school. So this year I created a matching card and pail. The little pail will be filled with Hershey Kisses, then later my friends can use them for a desk supply such as paper clips.

On the cards I had fun using Ranger Perfect Pearls Mist in mandarin on the flowers. This was a first for me! I did not have the color flowers that I wanted, so I sprayed the cream colored flowers I did have, with the mandarin spray. I was pleased with the results. I also used Distress Stain in Vintage Photo from Ranger to color the chipboard flower stems. Another new item I used was the embossed background of letters for the card background. I believe that this embossing folder is from Cuttlebug by Provo Craft. The papers were from Heidi Grace. Tell me what you think. Leave a comment!

Sketch N Stash Challenge Card

OK, This is my first entry into any online challenge. It is obvious I need to learn how to take a better picture of my card. You can still see my brown table in the background. This challenge required the participants to us neglected materials from their stash. I chose some old beach themed Heidi Grace papers. Then I selected some funky ribbon that I always liked , but never used. Lastly, I pulled out some old Stampin Up stamps and used gold embossing powder to create my embellishments. I had fun trying the challenge and hope I successfully add it to the challenge page. Wish me luck.

This page was created in memory of my Godmother, my Aunt Ellie. She was a bundle of fun. We will all miss the life of the party. She was a very special lady.

This card from the class uses the new Tim Holtz Sizzix die (Street Sign). Just plain cute. If you like these cards there is another class for Christmas cards on Sunday, October 10th. Come join us at Absolutely Everything.

(Ignore the crazy date by my camera....ignore the date behind the curtain) Here are two more cards from the class. I like the dots on the paper at the top. We just used a simple dobber and some ink, but it added so much to the card. The second card was fairly simple without any special techniques. Both had my favorite glitter, but it doesn't show in the picture.

I took a great class on Northwoods Stamps at Absolutley Everything today. Here are two of the Halloween cards we made. The top one is embossed in black and the middle tiger costume is pop dotted up to stand out. I like the glittered moon.

This second card was fun. We received the stamp with the class. I'll have to think of some creative ways to use it. (School gals, how about do, dah, and ditzy?)
